View slide cyclers
From the Awesign home page, navigate to Content Management > View Slide Cyclers. Only content managers will see
this section.
This page shows the galleries you manage, the slide cyclers they belong to, and the slide views that use each slide cycler.
Data flow
Since Awesign's architecture is fairly complex, this page is intended to help content managers understand the flow between slides being uploaded to a gallery and showing up on a display somewhere.
In short, users upload slides to galleries. Then, a slide cycler gathers all the slides that are currently scheduled to be shown from multiple galleries into a queue (applying an order, slide duration, and gallery weights). Finally, a slide view chooses one particular slide to display at a given time from the slide cycler (with optional transitions and offsets). The slide view is shown on physical displays.
If you're interested, you can read the technical documentation for Galleries, Slide Cyclers, and Slide Views to learn about ordering methods, weight modes, offsets, transitions, and more. All of these details are configured by system administrators.
Galleries
At the top of this page, there's a list of galleries you manage. You can click one to view more details, such as the gallery's description and a list of its content managers.
Slide cyclers
Below that, you'll see a list of slide cyclers that include your galleries.
Each slide cycler shows:
- its slide duration and ordering method
- a list of included galleries (each with a weight if applicable). You can click the gallery name for more details
- a list of slide views that depend on it (each with an offset and transition). You can click the slide view name for a live preview
