Configuring galleries

A gallery is a collection of slides. Users can request to upload slides to a gallery, and a content manager for that gallery can approve or deny the request.

Galleries are configured in the galleries section in awesign.yaml. An example configuration looks like this:

galleries:
  - name: davis_third_floor_hallways
    display_name: Davis Third Floor Hallways
description: The TVs in the hallway on the third floor of Davis Hall
    content_managers:
      - nicholas@example.com
      - alice@example.com
  - name: ai_research_spotlight
    display_name: AI Research Spotlight
    private: true
    content_managers:
      - bob@example.com
  • name is a unique identifier for the gallery
  • display_name is how the gallery will be shown in the UI
  • description is an optional field to provide additional information about the gallery in the UI
  • content_managers is a list of email addresses of the users who have permission to manage content in the gallery
  • private, if set to true, only allows content managers to submit slides to the gallery. (Defaults to false if not specified)
